Mining Solutions - A Brief History.

Mining Solutions Pty Ltd was formed in 1997 as a collaboration between two mining engineers, Ian Huitson and Patrick Smith.

 

Ian and Patrick both worked for Mining Solutions for a number of years during which time the company supplied a large number of mining professionals to mining companies across Western Australia.

 

Early clients included, WMC Resources (Norseman, Kambalda, Leinster & Mt Keith), Sons of Gwalia, Murrin Murrin Nickel, Consolidated Minerals Ltd and Robe River amongst others. Labour hire included all positions from Open Pit Grade Controllers through to Resident Managers and at one stage Mining Solutions had in excess of 30 contracted employees.

 

In the final years of the 90's Ian and Patrick both took career advancing positions with other companies.

 

In 2009 Ian recommenced consulting through Mining Solutions.
